We provide information about homeschool hockey or other homeschool sports opportunities in the Twin Cities, MN area. Since about 2007, we've worked with local rinks to provide hockey opportunities during the school day. In recent years Hopkins Pavilion has set up a program during the winter and we've helped with outreach to homeschool groups and volunteer instruction. The hockey sessions are typically divided into two or three age/skill-based groups, with time for skating drills and small games, followed by a time of scrimmages.
Our hope is to have additional outdoor hockey gatherings as well, at local outdoor rinks. If you are interested in hosting such a gathering, let us know and we can post the information on this site and suggest other ways to connect with fellow homeschool hockey families.
In terms of our values, it is important to note we are a Christian group, and we aim to promote Christian values in all we do, but we do not "teach" Christianity at our outings. We leave the teaching to capable Ministers in local churches and families. That said, we do believe the Bible (both the Old and New Testaments) is the Word of God, and believe the Apostle's Creed faithfully summarizes what is necessary for a Christian to believe.
